Stopped By Sallie’s Book Reviews

While getting ready to release my next part of the Vampire from Hell series, Part 4, I stopped by Sallie’s Book Reviews to discuss the previous parts 1-3. Check out the beginning of my interview below. It continues on Sallie’s blog.

Sallie Lundy-Frommer is the author of “Yesterday’s Daughter” and will be a featured guest on my blog October 6th.

How did you come up with the title for your series,The Vampire from Hell?
After reading vampire fiction for many years, I grew tired of the same themes and plots. That’s when I decided to write my own paranormal book. I thought what if Satan turned one of his daughters into a vampire in Hell? And what if she was a fan of mankind, not interested in his quest for world domination? What would she be like? Meet Rayea, the Vampire from Hell. Oddly enough this idea hit me when I bought a t-shirt at Wal-Mart. It had the phrase “Zombie Vampires from Hell” on it so that turned into “The Vampire from Hell.”
Did you brainstorm the idea of The Vampire from Hell with family and friends?
After I got the general idea down of what I wanted to write about, I did bounce the idea off a few friends and family members. I originally called it “Satan’s Daughter” and a few people thought I was nuts for coming up with the idea.
Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?
I have the best fans in the world I think. A lot of people have taken the time to contact me and express what reading my current series, the Vampire from Hell means to them. Their emails, posts to my Facebook wall, comments on my blog, and tweets put the wind in my sails to forge ahead as I continue to juggle working by day and writing at night. It makes waking up at 2 am to write easier, knowing someone is out there waiting to find out what Rayea will be doing next. As always, I write for them and I thank them for reading my books!

Part 4’s Cover – See it Here First

The week of Oct. 29th will be a busy week for me. It’ll be Release Week for my next book in the Vampire from Hell series. I’m calling the book “The Vampire from Hell Returns.” Also I have decided to keep the book’s cover under wraps until the book is launched and two of my writing friends have agreed to feature me on their blogs on Halloween, Oct. 31, 2012.

I’ll be appearing on Sallie Lundy-Frommer’s blog discussing the newly released “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4)” in the Vampire from Hell series including the unveiling of Part 4’s new cover. Sallie is the author of “Yesterday’s Daughter.”

I’ll also be appearing on Catherine Wolffe’s blog to promote the newly released “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4)” in the Vampire from Hell series. The new cover for Part 4 will be revealed there as well. Catherine is the author of the newly released, “The Lady in the Mist (The Western Werewolf’s Legend #1).” Read a free sample of her book here.

Read the newly released Preface for Part 4.

Featured on Book Crazy

I was featured on Book Crazy yesterday and wanted to share with you my interview and Kendall’s review of one of my books, The Vampire from Hell (Parts 1-3): The Volume Series #1.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

For the readers out there that haven’t read your series could you tell us a quick bit about it?

Sure. The description I wrote for the first part of my series, The Vampire from Hell sums it up best. Rayea is the oldest daughter of Satan and she feels the origin of vampires started in Hell, and it started with her. Rayea isn’t daddy’s little girl, even if he is the most powerful fallen angel around. He wants her to take an active role in the family business. But she’s not interested in his schemes for world domination. Instead she wants to spend her time shopping on the Internet, rescuing humans from a horrific eternity, and practicing martial arts with her seven foot hellhound. Then one day everything changes. She’s turned into a vampire by her father.

I absolutely love The Vampire from Hell Series! Are you surprised by the response you have had for it?

It’s been great to see that a lot of people, from all ages, like this series. I’ve been blown away by the response actually.

Kendall of Book Crazy also reviewed the book. Here’s what she said:
These books were so great and they packed a real punch! They also just got better and better as the series continued! I really enjoyed them and I think that they were a great twist on the supernatural and that the plots of this series also just got better that by the second book I was hooked! Rayea was such a strong main character and I loved her! I thought that her father and her sister, Stephanie were horrible to her! Blick was so cute and I absolutely adored him and also how protective he was of Rayea! He was also such a great friend! Michael was another great character and I loved his relationship with Rayea! I definitely loved how protective Michael and Blick were of Rayea! I wasn’t expecting who Rayea was going to pick to have a romantic relationship with but I loved it! There were a lot of secondary characters in these books and most of them were amazing characters! All these books continued straight on from each other which I loved since I had all three of them but now I need to wait until next month to get the fourth part of this series and I cannot wait to read it! I also like the cover!

Rayea is Rayea Rose

Hi everyone 😀 Rayea’s last name has been decided. The journey for Rayea possibly writing a ‘tell all book’ has begun. Rayea will decide to call herself Rayea Rose. I thought today to write this into Part 4. Grace will suggest the name to Rayea. We had a ton of votes so thanks to all of you for participating!! It was a lot of fun!

Everyone who commented with a choice will be added to a drawing for a free ebook of “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4).” We’ll have 5 winners.

And you’ll meet “Rayea Rose” on Facebook soon.

Rayea Needs a Last Name – Can You Help Us?

Rayea’s last name is Rose.

While I’m working on the latest part of the Vampire from Hell series, I realized that Rayea does not have a last name. Most of my characters in this series don’t, if you noticed. I didn’t do that for any real reason other than to keep it simple. However, I may be complicating things in the future.

Here’s why…

Suppose Rayea decided one day that she wanted to write her own story, maybe let’s say that story shares past experiences of hers, something darker and more naughty than we have previously read about*. Perhaps she is debating “telling all” to Blick before they take that next step. I know if I was wanting to move forward in a relationhip with my ‘main squeeze’ and I had a few skeletons in the closet, I’d probably want to confess those to him or the world. Better to know now than to find out later, if you know what I mean.

That brings us to our situation. Rayea wants a last name and she wants a Facebook page. I’m rather swamped with writing, so I told her I’d ask all of you for help. If you would please comment and tell us which name is your favorite one from the list below, we’d really appreciate it. I’ll take care of creating the Facebook page once we have a name decided on.

Also, everyone who comments with an answer on this blog post will be entered in a drawing for a free ebook of “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4).”

Thank you for your help!! 😀 The giveaway goes through Sept. 24th. I’ll let everyone know the deciding name soon after the voting closes. You have until then to comment. One vote per person please.

All are readers suggestions unless otherwise noted.
Rayea Fang
Rayea Rose
Rayea Thorne
Rayea Devlin
Rayea Blaze
Rayea Fox
Rayea Fallen
Rayea De’mon
Rayea Payne
Rayea Hunter
Rayea Dae
Rayea Wynters
Rayea DeAngelis
Rayea Starr
Rayea Killen

*-Please note that my consideration to write a tell-all book from Rayea’s point of view including more details about her past relationships with Death, Michael, Ash and possible other hottie lovers is still simply an idea. I have not decided yet if I’m actually stepping off into that arena. If I do, it would be writing under her assumed last name, and not my name of Ally Thomas. Feel free to add a comment if you have any thoughts on this topic.
