About Vampire Tears (A Collection of Poetry)
This first collection of poetry by author Ally Thomas focuses on paranormal creatures, primarily vampires. Think of it as if you are walking through the mind of a vampire. You witness their confessions, their fears, their trepidations, their doubts, and their tears. Many of the thirty poems, written in free verse, are ‘dark poetry’ and each shares a vampire’s heart and soul filled with regret, longing, perhaps anger or rage, and some of quiet desperation left unspoken.
It was a great first weekend for The Vampire from Hell on Wattpad. Over 200 followers now! Wow!
The story is at #5 in the Vampire category! I never thought it would go that high! I was happy with #11 a day ago.
Seeing it’s been read over 30,000 times is certainly sweet and extremely intimidating. I’m trying not to think on that. I’ve been replying to comments and visit a few people’s pages. Love the platform for sure!

Excerpt from The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4)
If I could count the times I have woken up tied to a chair, I’d be a millionaire by now. That’s where I found myself when I heard the voice of Stephanie, my demon sister.
“Welcome to Hell! We’re having a party in your honor, and you’re sleeping through it,
sssister,” she hissed.
I felt a blow blast across the right side of my head. A hit delivered by someone I couldn’t see. A blow for my sister’s amusement.
“What a lovely welcome home, dear sister!” I said sarcastically as I raised my head.It was on now. I smacked my mouth open wide, cranking my neck upwards as I extended my fangs. The freakier I could look, the better, I thought. When I surged my head upwards, a sharp pain sliced into my neck. Something restrained me. My fangs flipped inwardly and retreated to their hiding spot in the roof of my mouth. I tasted my own blood, and I had not bitten my tongue. This could be bad, I thought.
“I’d be careful if I were you, sissy,” Stephanie said. “That collar has spikes going into your neck. The more you move, the more Typhean there will turn the corkscrew that holds the collar together. The spikes are drilling into your neck. If you jump suddenly, it’ll rip your head off, and then where will you be? One dead vampire.”

It has been over a year since Part 3 – A Vampire on Vacation was published in July 2012. Since then I have not released anything related to this series. That’s a startling, and sobering fact, for me – even for my readers maybe– because for many months last year, I did not know if I’d return to writing this series. I didn’t know if I’d keep writing at all.
With that being said, I have returned to the keyboard and will be releasing “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4)” next month on Oct. 20th. (Join the Facebook Release Party.) I’m very excited to continue Rayea’s story, at least for three more installments, and I’m delighted to say that, for bad or worse, I’m past the first obstacle I encountered during my first year of writing. And I’m not looking back. It may not always be smooth sailing from now on, but that’s okay because I’ll keep sailing. I’m hoping many of you will join me for the ride.

Now that the confetti, streamers, and beer bottles have been cleaned up, I’m happy to announce that my first book release party was, in my opinion, a huge success. We had it online in the Ally Thomas and the Vampire from Hell Community Group last Friday, July 6th for my finishing (and releasing) “A Vampire on Vacation,” the third installment in the Vampire from Hell series.
With it being my first release party, I wasn’t sure how well it would go. Thankfully readers did show up 🙂 We played games, posted pics, chatted, and had a great time. I have to admit I was focused on getting prizes offered and keeping track of game results and winners, so my participation was more admin than participant. I’ve recently reviewed the ‘transcript‘ for the party since I have it still online at the link below, and it was great to see that indeed everyone had a great time! I’ll certainly be throwing another one again, likely on a Saturday night instead of Friday. Oh and a non-holiday weekend. I learned that was probably not the best idea since some people may have already had plans scheduled.

Hence the balloon distraction sponsored by my hubby.
And to my hubby for making sure the projector was up and working on the front lines so all of us in our living room could see the posts together instead of on individual laptops. See pic on the left.
